    Mobilising your community part 1: Engaging with the community around you

    Location: Eteron

    Engaging with members and the community around you is absolutely necessary for creating a successful energy community. In this workshop, we will share techniques to help you understand the community around you and create a members engagement strategy to attract new people and keep them on board.

    This session will offer participants the opportunity to take a deep-dive into a specific technology or activity for their community energy project. Participants can choose between:

     

     

    Citizen-led renovation

    Location: Eteron

    One-Stop-Shops for Home Renovation, and Community Heating and Cooling are the next step of tomorrow's energy transition - without them it is impossible. But how can we work on making them mainstream? In this session we will explain what these concepts are, how the legislation around them works, and more importantly how can we replicate them throughout Europe.

    This session will discuss in detail community energy business models for solar PV installations.

    Transport and Mobility

    Location: Impact Hub

    This session will offer practical guidance for setting up e-carsharing cooperatives and sustainable mobility services for your local community.

    Mobilising your community part 2: Storytelling to create meaningful climate action

    How can you get more visibility for your community energy story? How can we make our community energy narrative impactful and powerful? In this session, we will share with you a broad variety of insights and strategies to create and tell great stories. Let’s get your story out there!

     

     

    Inclusion and Equality part 1: Addressing gender equality in the community energy sector

    Location: Impact Hub

    "It's not easy, but it's worth it"... could this be an alternative title? This hands-on workshop will focus on key challenges and offer concrete tools for achieving gender justice in energy communities. The goal of this session is to exchange and learn from both our successes and failures.

    Deepening partnerships part 1: Forming national federations of energy communities

    Location: Eteron

    How to set up a national federation/coalition? What does this bring to your policy work? This session will share examples of already established national federations around the EU and will allow energy community practitioners that are planning to develop a national federation to ask concrete questions on the process, the barriers that arose on the way and the lessons learned.

    Towards a "REScoop.eu for Digital Services" ?

    Location: Impact Hub

    "How to facilitate digital services through EU cooperation? Many EU cooperatives are setting up digital services to address different needs: monitoring, energy efficiency, sharing, customer management, etc. … And we could be stronger together!

    In this workshop we present the first building blocks of an EU digital service provider, and sketch together the key services it should offer and how it could work. Come to share your needs or to join forces to build it with us!"

    Generation: what about energy from water?

    Location: Impact Hub

    This workshop will give starters an overview of sustainable use of energy from water: (micro) hydropower, pumped storage, geothermal, aquathermal, and more.

    Generation: biomass

    Location: Eteron

    In this session focused on energy production with Biomass the BECoop project will guide you through all the necessary steps to kick-start a community bioenergy project. If you want to fully immerse yourself in the community bioenergy story, be sure to register for their brokerage event in the next timeslot too.

    Setting-up a financial plan for your energy community

    Location: Eteron

    This workshop focuses on how to effectively manage your energy community from a financial point of view. Our interactive session will guide you through the building blocks of a sound financial plan and teach you all there is to know about issuing invoices and setting up a sound administration for that occasion.

     

     

    Deepening partnerships part 2: Community energy roadmaps for local ownership of power

    Location: Impact Hub

    By 2025, according to the EU, at least one renewable energy community should be established in every municipality with a population higher than 10,000 people In the context of the LIFE LOOP project, we support citizen-driven energy cooperatives to join forces with their local municipalities to jointly develop community energy projects. Community energy roadmaps can help strenghten this collaboration and guide the project development process. In this session, we will share good practices and tips on how to develop a community energy roadmap in your city.

     

     

    Side event: BECoop brokerage event

    Location: Eteron

    The brokerage event aims to serve the engagement process with all Community Bioenergy actors and facilitate exchanges with relevant RESCoops stakeholders to spread the word for Bioenergy RESCoops. During the BECoop Brokerage event the BECoop pilots will present their case including the business models developed, technological solutions and lessons learned, to showcase the wide applicability of Bioenergy Communities within and beyond EU borders and potentially to attract support, or to develop synergies with other RESCoops. The ultimate aim is to stimulate the interest for the development of new community bioenergy projects by existing RESCoops or to act as a catalyst for the foundation of new ones.
